Every once in a while you just have to enjoy your inner geek. Beercade is a great place to do so, games from your youth, pinball machines, and good beer. It is a true arcade for adults. It is funny how much better you can get on those games with a little libation.  Then to finish off the night, you can walk to their other bar, Jake’s. A nice way to celebrate getting my initials on a game I haven’t played since high school. A CAO Criollo, a Rogue Captain Sig’s Northwestern Ale, and finish with a Squatters Kindig Weizen, not a bad night.

Have a good time but please don’t be the goober drinking cheap, bad tasting, green dyed lager. Man up and get a fine pint of good beer. You will appreciate it later.

It’s March and it’s that time, madness rules and all that sort of rot.  As we pick our brackets and hope we got it all right, remember, it’s all about  having fun. So be smart my friends, make those “extra” bracket sheets, you know the ones, that keep you viable after the first weekend when everybody you picked gets knocked out. There is no shame in having that backup plan already made. So what if you walk around with a binder of bracket sheet, it’s like bingo, one has to be a winner. You don’t need 64 sheets but 3,4.3 10 may be a smart number if you really need to have bragging rights

Ahhh… Today we start a new chapter in the story of the Jefferson Cigar Society. I will share smokes and good times with all of you. I will try to keep this cigar related but of course I will venture into other topics. We are cigar smokers, that is our common ground, let’s enjoy what we share together rather than split ourselves along false ideologies and hypocrsies. I will maintain party neutrality here.

Let us light up  a nice cigar, toast good friends, and enjoy the time we share. And remember, keep your smokes dry and your glasses full, for we are the most interesting people in the world.
